A pneumatic lift truck typically has a pair of metallic blades installed on a wheeled counterbalance that also has a pump. The pump is used to raise and lower the forks.

Visually inspect the pallet vehicle before loading. Make sure the wheels are free of any would-be obstructions. Furthermore, ensure the handle moves fluently and turns appropriately. Inspect the pallet prior to moving it to determine if it is stacked in a manner that minimizes the chance of anything falling off during lifting. Release any air in the pump and lower the forks to the floor by squeezing the lever installed on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the lever. Run the blades into the slots in the pallet and make sure the forks are centered so that the pallets' weight is evenly spread.

By pumping the pneumatic jack lever the blades will go up from the floor. Once there is full clearance, you can discontinue pumping as there is no need to raise the jack anymore. To move the pallet lift, you may drag the handle behind you. It is not recommended to push the pallet vehicle. There will be a huge amount of momentum present. Refrain from quick or sharp turns and do not stop too suddenly. Gently bring the pallet to a halt wherever you would like to park it. Squeeze the handle inside the handle end to return the forks to the ground. Extract the forks from the pallet and return the pallet vehicle to its specified parking spot.
